in memoriam

Without further ado, here's some of my favourite headstones from St. George's Fields. I love pillars that are slightly pompous. I love the tree that has had to grow around one of the gravestones. I love cute and a little unusual details. And I love the sweet words engraved on them.

I really like the one that looks like a star with an angel underneath but you can just make out the angel because it's so weatherbeaten xx

I always like to think about the lives that people that have passed have lead...

Nadieyaa Gibb - thank you, gal! and i'm sorry i don't do follow for follow, but i'll be sure to check out your blog! :-) x

Amanda - that is such a pretty one, dear! i was so disappointed when i couldn't make out what the text that goes around the circle says, but the weatherbeatenness does add its own charm:-) xx

Krysten Quiles - i am like that too, honey:-) and older graves give so much more clues to that with their little pictures or just by stating one's profession etc.! xx

Sam - so they are, hen! x

amy - ah, i know, doll! nice to know that i'm not the only one that enjoys a wee stroll among the graves, haha:-) xx

Corinne - ah, good to hear that these are appreciated, haha:-) and mesmerizing is just the word to describe them, lady! xx
